Adverse weather closes CYMT

Adverse weather means CYMT will be closed on Saturday 3 March 2018.

This situation looks set to continue for the Taunton area from now (Thursday 1 March) until Friday evening. This means that conditions on the roads will be difficult on Saturday morning due to snow and ice.

Therefore, CYMT will reopen on Saturday 10 March at 9am as usual, and it is hoped that the missed week will be made up on Saturday 14 April.  Thank you for your understanding.

The Centre’s 4th birthday party, which had been planned for Saturday 3 March, will now take place on Saturday 10 March at 10.30am in the Willow Cafe at Richard Huish College. There will be live music and plenty of cake. All welcome.

Also on Saturday 10 March the Centre will be visited by Standard Procedure, a jazz quartet of students from the Guildhall School. They will be presenting a lunchtime concert at 12noon in the Willow Cafe at Richard Huish College. All welcome. Free admission.

To whet your appetite for the visit by Standard Procedure, here is some information about the band:

Standard Procedure is a band consisting of Guildhall School of Music Graduates and current students. Standard Procedure is a jazz quartet based in London with a focus on the ‘dark corners’ of Jazz. From ferocious Rock grooves to lyrical Folk ballads, the aim is to convey emotion and encapsulate the tradition of Jazz in a fresh, new way! Influences are drawn from musicians and bands such as Ian Carr’s Nucleus, Miles Davis and Julian Siegel & Phil Robson’s Partisans as well as many more!
