Sarah Clarke-Lander – Supporting Studies, Woodwinds & Piano

hestercombe 90Sarah attended Ashford Grammar School and the Royal College of Music Junior Department where she studied flute. Later, Sarah studied the Royal College of Music where she achieved the ARCM Performers Diploma Flute and The Royal Academy of Music Professional Certificate.

Sarah has taught the flute for many years, in both state and private schools, as well as privately. She spent many years teaching flute at Sir William Perkins’s School, Chertsey, where she also taught theory and aural skills. Sarah ran many chamber ensembles, including Wind Quintet and Quartet, Flute Choir, Flute Trios and Quartets, Baroque Ensembles and other mixed chamber groups.

Now recently relocated to Watchet, Somerset, Sarah is enjoying teaching private lessons and at CYMT she teaches the all-important  supporting studies of theory of music and aural training as well as individual piano lessons.  Sarah is a qualified as an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and enjoys examining all over the UK.
